Hi, I’m Kay Tompkins.

I am a qualified Animal Physiotherapist, based in central Scotland. I trained with the College of Animal Physiotherapy. Practical training was carried out with Catriona Goulding in Carnoustie, also Sue Ainsworth Taylor in South Africa and Hannah Ashton in the Cotswolds.

I have been around animals all my life; having worked at animal sanctuaries, farms and vets. I have worked with all kinds of animals from sheep, cattle, lions,orang-utans, horses and dogs.

Horses have been a huge part of my life for the past 13 years. My passion is rehabilitation, both behavioural and physical. I have trained with Kelly Marks on the intelligent horsemanship courses,and spent some time at a rehabilitation yard for behavioural problems.
I absolutely love animal physiotherapy,a s it provides a huge challenge, and rewards, when I see an animal improving, whether that is in his performance or in terms of comfort, if the animal experiences discomfort due to Degenerative joint disease. I also love working with the owners too, to ensure that an achievable programme is put in place to achieve the best outcome for the animal, whether that be your lap dog or your top performing event horse.
